Programme boxes

A box packed with materials allows South African groups to do many and more exciting programmes. Such a box costs € 100. By now 75 of these boxes are financed from Friesland through this partnership.

Football, three tennis balls, jumprope, sowing kit, magnifying glass, Guide flag, flagrope, pioneering rope, brushes, three colours of dye, assorted paper, goldpaint, spunge, "hoola hoops", whistle, frisbee, "bean bags", logbook, pens, colouring pencils, leader's brochures, glue, tape, scissors, pencils, 25 mugs, poster of Scouting flags world-wide, Browny handbook, gamebooklet, hikebooklet, Guide for Guiders, mini guides for all guides and a first-aid kit.

Transport

The materials and boxes are bought in South Africa. This way the South African' economy is supported. Plus it would be far too exensive to ship it from The Netherlands.

We're fortunate to have an excelent volunteer in South Africa who buys the materials for us and packs the boxes. Usually it's waiting for a good opportunity to get the boxes at it's destination. When someone happens to go that way, a box is taken along.
